| SwissOptic is offering new opportunities in the manufacture of customer-specific optical components with the robot-supported manufacturing (Advanced Lens Polishing System, ALPS) of aspherical lenses, off-axis aspherical lenses and free-form optical surfaces. Both high-precision aspherical lenses and precise free-form surfaces made of glass, glass ceramics, ceramics or synthetic quartz can be manufactured with this process with a form precision of up to λ/10. These components can also be manufactured with integrated lightweight structures. The functional capability increases, with a simultaneous reduction in the number of individual components and smaller size, by using aspherical lenses and free-form optical surfaces. The weight of the subassembly or of the component can also be decisively reduced by integrating lightweight structures. This opens up new, previously undreamt-of opportunities in design for customers, especially for applications in optical tool manufacture (press / casting tools). SwissOptic AG in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, employs around 180 people today. SwissOptic fully stands by the customers in the implementation of demanding optical solutions with the entire process chain from consulting to design and engineering up to manufacturing, testing and documentation. Expertise over decades, combined with the most modern technology, makes SwissOptic a competent optics partner from A to Z. SwissOptic AG is a company of BERLINER GLAS Group. |
