| Berliner Glas develops and manufactures polarizers for high-power UV radiation sources in the wavelength range of 270 to 350 nm.The polarizers manufactured by Berliner Glas are designed for UV light sources with a radiation output of up to 1 kW. The degree of polarization of the transmitted radiation is over 98%.These high-performance UV polarizers polarize the radiation of a XeCl lamp (308 nm) in an angular range of +- 11°. This corresponds to a numerical aperture of approx. 0.2.The large angular range of the numerical aperture demonstrates a clear advantage of this principle of polarization vis-à-vis crystals, with polarization characteristics based on double refraction and total reflection. |
