| BERLINER GLAS develops broadband anti-reflection coatings that distinguish themselves by extraordinary strength. The special requirement consists in the anti-reflection coating being capable of being well cleaned after the cementing, after the lacquering or after getting dirty. With customary broadband antireflection coatings, the layers quickly become smudged or scratched. The layers pass the hard abrasion test according to MIL 48497A (20 strokes with a rubber eraser with pumice stone at a load of 1.25 kg) without problems, even with substantially more strokes. The specially-developed coating technique is currently applicable for plane face glass up to 380mm x 380mm x 60mm and for lenses up to a camber of 6 mm. The wavelength range for antireflection can be adapted to the customer requirements. BERLINERGLAS offers an anti-reflection coating, with the abrasion-resistant, broadband antireflection coating, that could be quite interesting, especially for exterior surfaces, for cemented groups and for parts with an edge that has to be lacquered. |
